Important COVID-19 updates from the Private Universities

There are over 74 private colleges and universities in California. Los Angeles Valley College has articulation and/or course agreements with many of these independent colleges and universities. Entrance requirements may be similar to public institutions or require an additional supplemental application. Some agreements may require only general education, while others list major specific requirements. Many California Independent Colleges and Universities accept completed IGETC or GE Breadth coursework for transfer admission. Some independent schools have substitute, additional, or specialized course requirements for admission. For more information, please see a counselor.
